Thermal Imaging And Image Adjustment
The NocPix Ace 2 H50R combines a 640 × 512 VOx detector, 12 µm pixel pitch and ≤12 mK NETD with a 50 mm F0.9 objective. Thermal imagery updates at 60 Hz. Its specified field of view is 8.8° × 7.0°, covering 15.4 × 12.3 m at 100 m.
Image controls allow separate adjustment of brightness, contrast and sharpness, giving the user control over how the scene is presented. Seven colour palettes and warm or cool image hues provide further viewing options. Automatic, manual and background calibration modes are available, alongside pixel defect correction for persistent bright or dark image points. A new centre focus turret provides full ambidextrous control to allow easier focusing of the image in use.
Ocular Zoom And Viewing Controls
Ocular Zoom 2.0 provides a 3–6× optical magnification range. With Hybrid Zoom enabled, the ocular ring adjusts optical and electronic zoom together; disabling it retains optical adjustment through the ring. Electronic magnification also remains accessible through the turret controller. The maximum magnification limit can be set to 16×, 20× or 24×.
The Ace 2 H50R features a 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display that presents the image, with picture-in-picture available for a separately magnified view. Central turret focusing places focus adjustment on the scope body. The eyepiece provides 60 mm eye relief, a 10 mm exit pupil and dioptre adjustment from −5 to +4 D.
Integrated Ranging And Profile Management
The NocPix Ace 2 H50R integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder has a specified range of 1200 m with ±1 m accuracy. Single and continuous ranging modes accommodate individual readings or ongoing distance measurement. Range data and the ranging reticle can remain visible or disappear after a selected interval, allowing control over the information retained on screen.
Onboard ballistic calculation supports configurable parameters and selectable display formats. Up to eight profiles keep separate configurations available. Seven reticle types, nine colours and six brightness settings allow adjustment of the aiming display. Custom reticles and profile naming are accessible through the app, keeping configuration management separate from routine viewing controls.
Power, Recording And Connectivity
A built-in 3650 mAh battery and replaceable 3650 mAh 18650 battery provide up to eight hours of operation at 22°C, depending on feature use. USB-C charges the internal battery; the removable cell requires a separate charger.
Photos and videos are stored in 64 GB of internal memory, with an onboard gallery for review. Recoil-activated recording offers selectable capture periods before and after an event. Wi-Fi supports live image transmission and app control, while recorded files can be copied to a computer over USB. The 920 g housing carries an IP67 rating and a specified operating temperature range of −20°C to +50°C.
